CSA Membership 2026

What is a CSA Membership? Great question. CSA is an abbreviation for Community Supported Agriculture. It provides an opportunity for you, the community, to invest financially in local farms. The beginning of growing seasons are when farm expenses are at their highest. CSA programs are designed to pay farmers before their crops are ready so that they can afford the seeds, supplies, and equipment needed to grow those crops. When you sign up for our Groton CSA, you purchase a “share” of our produce for 15 weeks of the upcoming growing season. In return for your investment, you will receive produce from our farm's first harvests. Your share of produce will also be discounted from our retail pricing (a savings of $50 throughout the season). The commitment of your share helps invest in our farm's future.

How It Works

The CSA membership will be for the weeks of June 12th-September 26th. On Fridays, from 12pm-7pm you will pick up your customizable share from the farm. We will have a diverse selection of produce for you to choose from each week. To give you an idea of what produce you will be getting, we have listed below some "sample shares" based on what we grow and seasonal availability.

(Please note: we are at the mercy of the weather and environment. Storms and pests happen; therefore, we cannot 100% guarantee you will receive everything listed below. However, we can guarantee we will provide you with the most flavorful and diverse selection of vegetables we can.)

June:

  • 3 bags from the following: escarole, head lettuce, salad mix, or spinach

  • 1 bag from the following: arugula or micro greens

  • 4 bunches from the following: baby bok choy, collards, garlic scapes, kale, radishes, or swiss chard

  • Pick 5 mix and match: cucumbers, yellow squash, or zucchini

What It Costs

A share of produce provides vegetables for 2-5 people (depending on how much you love your veggies!) and costs $35 ($38 produce value) a week, over the course of 15 weeks. Your payment of $525 will be due at your first pickup. The CSA runs for a 16 week period. Since you will be paying for 15 weeks, you can skip any week of your choosing, but please give us a notice the week prior. We accept cash, credit card (note there is a 2.6% fee for credit cards) check (make checks payable to Farmer Brown's Market Garden LLC), or venmo. If for some unforeseeable reason we are unable to supply you with the full amount of the produce you paid for, we will give out produce vouchers to our CSA Members on a pro-rated basis. These vouchers can be cashed in for vegetables later in the 2026 growing season or during the next growing season.
